     Hydro Aluminium Nordisk Aviation Products

Nordisk Aviation Products is a 100% subsidiary of the Norsk Hydro Group, one of the large, globally acting industrial conglomerates listed on the world's leading stock exchanges (NYSE: NORSK). Hydro's core business sectors are light metals, plastics, oil and natural gas, agricultural fertilizers and industrial chemicals.

Nordisk Aviation Products (NAP) was founded in Norway in 1972. The company has developed, manufactured and marketed air freight pallets since 1972 and air freight containers since 1978.

Whatever required, NAP can always be relied upon to provide a first-class service, be it ULD repair and maintenance or financing alternatives like capital leases, operational leases and rental of ULDs. NAP caters to every technical and commercial requirement with its product offering of pallets and the two container concepts (welded and mechanically assembled). NAP provides at its service stations maintenance for any competitor ULDs, too. Furthermore, a substantial array of maintenance contracts from "material + time" to "lease maintenance" at a fixed rate per container, any variation NAP provides taylormade to the customers requirements.

Nordisk Aviation Products has been at the forefront in the design, development and manufacture of air cargo containers for almost 30 years.

For example, it was Nordisk who in 1975 invented the world's first hollow edge pallets - an industry breakthrough in weight reduction. And once again in 1983, Nordisk, together with British Airways, increased usable lower deck volumes with the world's first full width lower deck container.

Right from the start, Nordisk has set the industry's standards for manufacturing quality. Nowhere is this more important than in our uncompromising approach to material selection. We are the only manufacturer to specify AA7000-series alloys for all our ULDs, guaranteeing the industry's highest standards for strength and durability. And we're now in the forefront in our use of polycarbonates and new composite materials.

Nordisk's legendary welded modular panel construction has proven itself for over 25 years - in continuous operations with almost every major airline in the world. Powerful evidence that Nordisk containers and pallets provide the optimum combination of low weight, high strength, and inexpensive maintenance needed to achieve the lowest possible lifetime cost.
